Why do I coach?
“I absolutely love the game. It built my self-esteem and confidence. I want to share my love and passion for the game. This game has taught me so much on and off the court.”
What do I look forward to teaching my team?
“I want to teach these young ladies to believe in themselves and that they can accomplish anything they put their mind to. I also want to teach them it’s ok to make mistakes.
One of my mottos is mess up full speed; don’t be afraid to go for it!!!
Character is who YOU are when NO one is watching. It’s how you act when you are faced with adversity that shows what kind of person/player you are.
I want to teach them that hard work and discipline pays off. To have a team mindset. We rise as a team and fall as a team. To constantly encourage one another on and off the court.”
Why the philosophy of coaching "person first, athlete second" is important to me:
“The philosophy of coaching “person first and athlete second” is important to me because YOU matter. Your thoughts, opinions and feelings. Not only do I want you to be a good athlete, but most of all, I want you to grow into the person you want to be!”
Other Tidbits
“When I’m not coaching, I enjoy weight training, riding horses, anything outdoors and being with my family.”
