Taylor Larsen
Coach Taylor moved to Sheridan in 3rd grade and has lived here ever since, apart from her time down south at Casper College. She is a former Lady Bronc and Sheridan High School graduate.
Volleyball Experience
• Taylor has been playing volleyball for as long as she can remember. “Growing up it felt like I was always running around the volleyball gym. My mom was either always coaching or playing.”
• She began playing AAU volleyball at Sheridan Volleyball Club when she was in 3rd grade and she has been playing competitively ever since.
• Taylor was a multi-sport athlete, and during her high school years, she was a member of the volleyball, basketball and track and field teams.
• She was an impact player on the court for the Lady Broncs of Sheridan High School. She received All-Conference honors both her junior and senior years for both volleyball and track.
• There were multiple college offers on the table for Coach Taylor to continue her academic and athletic careers. Ultimately, she made the decision to continue her education at Casper College and compete on the Women’s Volleyball Team.
• Taylor is now back in Sheridan and excited to follow in the footsteps of her mom as she enters the world of coaching.
Why do I coach?
“I coach because I love the game and I want to share that love with kids.”
What do I look forward to teaching my team?
“I look forward to teaching these girls the love of volleyball and helping them develop fundamentals.”
Why the philosophy of coaching "person first, athlete second" is important to me:
“It’s important to understand that you’re a person going through all kinds of things, you’re not just an athlete. There is so much more to life than athletics. It’s more about value and respect of a person as a whole and not what they can do for you.”
Other Tidbits
“I love being outside! Hiking and camping are on of my favorite things to do during the summer.”
