Dusty Brester
“I was born and raised in Billings, MT. I moved to Sheridan 9 years ago with my beautiful wife and 3 amazing kids- Landon, Becca, and Presley. All of my kiddos are volleyball players, and it has made our family love the sport! I work for the City of Sheridan as a Sanitation Equipment Operator (garbage man), and I love it!”
Volleyball Experience
• Dusty played football and baseball while growing up, developing a deep passion for sports from a young age. His love for athletics extends beyond just participation; he enjoys watching all types of sports in his free time.
• In the fall, he takes on the role of a referee for Little Guy Football through the Recreation District, contributing to the community and staying connected to the sport.
• Each summer, he remains active by playing co-ed softball, keeping his competitive spirit alive.
• Dusty enjoys bowling competitively, embracing the challenge and camaraderie that come with the sport.
• His children are all volleyball athletes here at Blacktooth, his wife, Jamie, serves on our Board and he is excited to be involved as a coach for our Boys VB program.
Why do I coach?
“I coach because I love watching these kids succeed and challenge themselves and to watch the life long friendships that they make.”
What do I look forward to teaching my team?
“The skills to be a good human and athlete and that there are no mistakes- only lessons.”
Why the philosophy of coaching "person first, athlete second" is important to me:
“Sports teach you so many valuable lessons in life..,not just about being a star athlete. You must learn to work together for your team and yourself before you can learn how to be a player.”
Other Tidbits
“I have bowled a perfect 300 game twice in my life. My wife and I met at a bowling alley and my kids grew up on the lanes! I enjoy camping, fishing and grilling! I also enjoy traveling and getting the chance to try new things!”
