Jamie Brester

As our CO-EVENTS DIRECTOR, Jamie works beside her co-director, Jessica, to run top notch events. Jamie brings her knowledge and experience to our events and ensures they are the best they can possibly be. She facilitates the organization of our Tournament Committee for the tournament we host every March in honor of The Never Flinch Foundation. In addition to the work she does for our camps and tournaments, she is always looking for ways we can be ahead of the game and serving our Blacktooth families to the fullest extent. We appreciate her perspective that helps make the Blacktooth volleyball experience what it is.

Get to know Jamie

“I am a mom of three wonderful children ages 16, 13, and 9! They keep me extremely busy and on my toes day and night.

I work as the Community Engagement Coordinator for our local Big Brothers Big Sisters and I am also a licensed insurance producer with Farmers Insurance- Nichols Agency.

I belong to several groups in Sheridan including nonprofit support groups, Sheridan Business Co-op and the Sheridan Stakeholder Committee for School District 2. I am a PTO mom and a lover of all things event related!”

What is something you enjoy about the club experience at Blacktooth?

“I love watching the kids grow- not only in skill but as humans! It is incredible to watch the transformation from night one of practice with their team to becoming such great friends and teammates!”

What you are looking forward to most for the upcoming season and serving on the BVC board?

“I am looking forward to planning our very own Sheridan tournament and helping with the "behind the scenes" activity. I love traveling with each of my kids to their tournaments and cheering them all on!”

Why is Blacktooth’s philosophy of "person first, athlete second" important to you?

“Person first teaches these kids real life skills. It is about building yourself and your teammates up- by finding the strength and mental power to be in control of your own actions. The skill can be taught, but the real challenge is how you handle yourself in a team sport. Whether you are dominating or struggling you have to find the mind set to be present. We believe each child matters in EVERY way on and off the court.”

Other Tidbits

“I enjoy camping with my family and friends and spending our summers at the lake. We love to travel and always buy a Christmas ornament to remember our family vacations! We have 3 four legged babies that also enjoy our adventures- Finn, Jynx, and Scout!”
