Kelly Thomas

As a FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE member, Kelly helps us with raffles, sponsorships and all things fundraising. This is such a big part of the season, and Blacktooth experience, because it helps make it possible to do what we do. Kelly brings energy, ideas and so much heart to the Board. She is always one of the first to volunteer to help if we need it and has donated time to serve in any capacity needed throughout the years. We are grateful to have her on the Board.

Get to know Kelly

“Born and raised in Lodi California, my husband Bill of 19 years and my daughter Lilly, moved here to beautiful Sheridan, Wyoming in 2016. We love living in the most gorgeous area, along with such an amazing community. I have been in nursing for the last 25 years and now work at Sugarland Walk-in clinic as a family nurse practitioner. I love helping our community with whatever issues may arise.”

What is something you enjoy about the club experience at Blacktooth?

“Blacktooth club has personally helped my daughter grow by increasing her confidence and helping her believe in herself. She continues to learn important life lessons with her mindset, working with her teammates and coaches, and also enjoy her love for the game. We as parents love, encouraging, supporting, and cheering for all BVC teams. Traveling to tournaments together as teammates and families are always so much fun. Love making memories.”

What you are looking forward to most for the upcoming season and serving on the BVC board?

“I am excited to bring some new, fun, and easy fundraising ideas to help our BVC families. I will be helping our other board members with anything they may need help with to make this year and every year the best for our athletes.”

Why is Blacktooth’s philosophy of "person first, athlete second" important to you?

“Our philosophy at Blacktooth is very important to us as parents, coaches, and athletes. Athletes at BVC are recognized as individuals and that their self-worth is not tied by their performance. Our coaches focus on the person, then the athlete. They listen, watch, encourage, support our athletes to be the best human possible. This is what makes our club very special. We all care!”

Other Tidbits

“My family and I love LA Dodger baseball. We try and go to a couple of games during the season.. We love to golf together. I love hiking with my mini Aussie Sky in the mountains and working out at the gym. Fun fact: I was raised vegetarian…did not truly eat meat until we moved here to Wyoming in 2016.”
